Description

The offered 1954 Red Man sealed tobacco package with an original Gene Woodling card showing is a magnificent survivor from the “golden age of baseball”. This “20-cent” pouch is sealed by the period tax stamp and is almost entirely surrounded by a thin piece of vintage cellophane. Only a miniscule portion of the top of the cellophane shows any wear or tearing. However, tiny strands of loose chewing tobacco are found in each portion of the soft pack. On the reverse of the package is the AL #15 card of Woodling. The surface of the card is wavy due to the drying out of the tobacco and being reconstituted with the package. Otherwise, the clutch Woodling grades in the (NM) range with razor-sharp corners and outstanding color. Whether one is a tobacco, sports card or Americana enthusiast, this Red Man package is certain to please.
