One of the more interesting issues of the nineteenth century is found in the 1888 Scrapps Tobacco edition. This die-cut set of 18 cards featured the starting nine for the Detroit Wolverines and St. Louis Browns. Presented is a grouping of (4) 1888 Scrapps Die Cuts that have each been graded by either PSA or SGC. Included are PSA: Welch (PSA 2): SGC: Bushong (SGC 10), Foutz (SGC 30) and O’Neil (SGC 10). These fragile specimens each reveal a combination of surface and reverse wear commensurate with their assigned grades, but they retain extraordinary eye appeal.
