Although few players in baseball history penned more autographs than Babe Ruth, the perpetual demand for his signature has never waned. The offered Babe Ruth single-signed baseball was personalized to an adoring fan on a circa 1927-1931 OAL Barnard ball. Inscribed on the west panel, the faded black endorsement for “The Bambino” (d.1948) grades a solid (“4”). The personalization has faded over the years, and the blue-and-red-stitched ball reveals extensive abrasions, soiling and other flaws. It should be noted that none of the abrasions are indicative of signature removal. Full LOA from JSA.
