Description

Hailing from the late 1880s, this pair of scarce vintage baseball bats is ideal for the lumber collector. First is a circa-1880 dual-ring decoration bat measuring 28”/22 oz. Though no manufacturers label is visible, two darker rings and a darker end are clearly present, making this an attractive (EX) condition bat with no deadwood and only minor surface abrasions. The second bat is a circa-1890 Spalding Wagon Tongue bat measuring 31”/32 oz. With some usage, a taped handle and only minor deadwood, this (VG-EX) bat, parlayed with the dual-ring example, will add some “good wood” to any collection.
