Offered is a lot of six golf collectibles, all but one of which feature Bobby Jones or Babe Ruth. Included is a 1926 news-service 7x9 photo of Jones winning the British Open with the original text backing (several tears), 1931 Down the Fairway hardcover by Jones (VG-EX, small sticker on inner-cover), 1935 Right and Wrongs of Golf by Jones (VG), scarce Bobby Jones model Spalding Calamity Jane putter (EX) and a lovely AP news-service photo of Ruth (small tape repair on right edge) putting with a stamped and dated back (9/2/35). The final piece of the lot may be the key, a scarce 19th-century “Fives” ball in superb condition for its age and leather-hide characteristics. Often used during practice rounds, the seldom-seen golf relic remains more clean and complete than most specimens from the era and will display magnificently in any collection.

It should be noted that the Bobby Jones model Spalding Calamity Jane putter has a shaft made of hickory.
