Coming off of back-to-back 300 strikeout seasons and having torched the National League early in 1999, Curt Schilling was voted to start the 1999 All-Star at Fenway Park. Presented is his grey knit game-worn button-down jersey from that historic Mid-Summer Classic. The jersey is lettered Phillies across the chest with Schilling’s "38” on the reverse and left sleeve. ”Schilling” is lettered across the shoulders on the back just north of his number. All letters and numbers are red with blue and white trim. Adorning this fantastic jersey is Schilling’s signature ("9") of on the #8. A simple "Rawlings Size 50" tag is stitched into the lower left portion of the front of this beautiful relic. The lower left portion on the front displays a red stitched ”All Star Game, Fenway Park, Boston, MA, July 13, 1999”, and there an All-Star Game patch on the right sleeve. Schilling took the loss after giving up 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. The shirt has all the proper tags and markings, consistent with known examples from the period.
