Offered is a nineteenth-century Belgian Canton I. Dana flintlock muzzleloader rifle. This piece has a 38 barrel, and the lock plate contains Canton I. Dana. The wooden body and butt are made of tiger maple, and the wooden ramrod is also intact. The shoulder plate and trigger guard are made of brass. An attractive and functional grip has been hand-carved into the upper portion of the butt and intersects with the flat, secure portion of the trigger guard. This piece reveals light wear throughout the steel and brass components and wooden body.
