Presented is a Steve Carlton game-used Louisville Slugger P89 bat that dates to use sometime during the 1980 through 1983 seasons. This piece (34oz/35”) has been graded GU 7 by PSA/DNA and is signed on the barrel in blue marker ("8"). The barrel reveals several ball and stitch marks, and the handle has been covered with a light coat of pine tar. The knob has been marked with Carlton’s 32 in black marker and has been written over the original 12. This indicates that bat was most likely also used by Len Matusek before Carlton took it for himself. This beautiful bat is accompanied by a full Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA and an auction LOA from James Spence Authentications.
