Presented is a game-used Frank “Lefty” O’Doul bat used sometime during his stint with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1928 to 1930. O’Doul’s strong batting prowess is evident in the gigantic game-used Hillerich and Bradsby Louisville Slugger model (42.6oz/34-3/4”) that appears to be more like a war club than a hitting tool. The bat shows extensive game use with ball and cleat marks throughout the barrel and a cracked handle, which has been wrapped with a thick layer of black tape. This handsome, weathered piece is an excellent find and a welcome addition to any vintage collection. An LOA from PSA/DNA accompanies this item.
